Does Your Health Make You Happy?

Does Your Health Make You Happy?

Does Your Health Make You Happy?

Do you have a few pounds to lose? Do you have high blood pressure or elevated cholesterol? Do you suffer with blood sugar issues? Have joint pain? Experience heartburn, bloating, gas or constipation? Then you might be what I like to call “functionally ill.”  Individuals, who are functionally ill, get up every morning, they go to work, they accomplish all or most of what is required or expected of them, but they suffer from many of the complaints I just listed. Unfortunately this is the majority of us and too often we make up excuses or find ways to rationalize why we feel so lousy.

As a country, we spend billions of dollars annually on health and weight loss products and yet we still feel lousy. We spend more on medical care than any other nation in the world, yet we are sicker than other nations.  We are used to going to the doctor with our complaint and given a drug that never really fixes the problem. The symptoms may be gone, but no one tells us that the drug we were given could be toxic, hard for our liver to eliminate and eventually cause more problems.

People don’t have Prozac deficiencies or Nexium deficiencies. They have nutritional deficiencies. Nutritional deficiencies cause organ dysfunction. Which causes weight gain, high blood pressure, skin rashes, eczema, depression or other symptomatology.

So how did we get this way? Under ideal circumstances, the body is well equipped to neutralize and dispose of toxins through the liver, spleen and eliminative channels (bowel, kidneys, lungs, skin and the lymphatic system) but in modern day society are bodies are overburdened with our digestive system, being the most abused. We have been raised on a diet of bread, dairy, cheese, red meat, fried fatty fast foods, sweets, candy, ice cream and sugary drinks. Over time, these foods break down the digestive and eliminative system causing fatigue, gas, bloating, poor elimination, poor digestion, poor skin, brain fog, blood sugar issues and weight gain.

The food that we eat has an effect on our cells either nourishing them or damaging them. If we are well nourished, we are generally healthy, and if we aren’t receiving the nutrients we need, then we begin to experience unwanted symptoms, weight gain and aging is accelerated. To get healthy, you must first identify what is hindering your health and make lifestyle changes.

If you want to eliminate your symptoms and restore your health, there are no quick fixes, at least not lasting ones. If you are ready to take your health to the next level? If you are open to change? If you want to have more energy, mental clarity and are looking to shed those extra pounds without counting calories, there is hope.

At South Jersey Center for Nutrition & Wellness Dr. Lang uses a technique called Nutrition Response Testing. Nutrition Response Testing is a non-invasive way of analyzing the body to determine the underlying causes of ill or non-optimum health. Nutrition Response Testing allows us to identify nutritional deficiencies. All of our programs are safe for children, elderly and everyone in between. Specific whole food supplements, determined by your testing, allow your body to repair itself. The body has the full potential to repair itself when given the correct nutritional regimen. Generally, chronic health problems do not suddenly develop overnight. These take a long time, often years of improper diet causing nutritional deficiencies and imbalances, as well as environmental influences to get you into the health condition you are currently in. Supporting the body’s effort to keep itself healthy and running efficiently is not difficult, but it will take some unlearning of wrong concepts, learning some correct ones, eating high quality whole foods and taking a nutritional program that was designed just for YOU and YOUR bodies needs.  If you are found to be a Nutrition Response Testing case, then your chances of experiencing better health have never been better.
